Review : Good But Not Great - Screen Limitations
==EDITED== Now only worth 1 star

These units aren't fit for use in a UK marine environment, well not if you need to use a VHF radio anyway. The 7 series have an acknowledged problem where the display itself interferes with VHF radios, a major safety issue if you're fishing at sea. Humminbird also have no UK service center so in order to have it "fixed" it means posting it, registered and insured to Italy. The first and last Humminbird unit I'll ever buy. Shame, because the side imaging is fantastic, if you are determined to buy Humminbird then make sure you get one of the larger displays that doesn't suffer from the VHF problem.

I've been running this fishfinder for saltwater use in the UK for about six months now, once setup correctly it's traditional sonar is great for finding fish but my one big regret is not buying a larger screen version (...
